♥ Twirl!
I got Twhirl today! I'm so excited because I until now I used Twitbin. It's a great Firefox add-on, but it doesn't have quite as many features as Twhirl.
With Twhirl, I can view all new tweets from the people I am following. Plus, I can view as many as 80 requests per hour. I also love how I can post pictures, shorten URLs, and filter through the tweets I've recieved. I can also search for and lookup specific people. And, of coure, I can retweet, reply, favorite, and send direct messages.
The settings are pretty amazing too. The color and opacity of the Twhirl window can easily be changed. There are quite a few choices: more than I would've expected. There is also the option of changing the text font and size. That was not very important to me, but I can understand how it would be great for people who need the larger text.
Another great thing about Twhirl is that it notifies the user when there is a new tweet or a new direct message. There is also the option of whether or not to have a notification sound and how loud that sound should be.
Now, I realize Twhirl has probably been around for quite some time, but I only recently discovered it. I am so glad I did. I think it will definitely make Twitter so much easier for me to use.
